Kamil Grabowski received Prime Minister of Poland Award for outstanding PhD theses finished in 2010. The ceremony took place in the Chamber of Prime Minister of Poland in Warsaw with the participation of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Each year the best PhD theses from several disciplines are awarded and Kamil Grabowski’s work was distinguished in the field of electronics. Theses taken under award consideration must receive recommendation from highly qualified reviewers and appropriate committees of Polish Academy of Sciences.
The work entitled “Person Identification Based on Iris Pattern with special emphasis on hardware implementation” involves modern approach for biometric authentication systems design and realization using FPGA and DSP devices and statistical and quality analysis of this kind of systems as well.
